Kiev Jews mark Columbia tragedy

February 6, 2003

Some 100 Jews in Kiev, Ukraine, attended a ceremony this week commemorating the seven astronauts who died aboard the Columbia space shuttle. Alex Katz, the head of the Jewish Agency for Israel's Ukraine and Moldova desk, presided over the meeting, which took place in the agency's Kiev headquarters.
