A Hands on Mission

December 30, 2007 / 21 Tevet 5768

A Mission is often an exciting hands on affair. The nearly 250 participants of the Baltimore Family Mission, together with their friends and partners from Ashkelon, young and old, put their minds and hands ( and backs) into creating the new Lyn Stacie Getz Playground in the Afridar / Barnea neighboorhood. The day included both actual construction of the playground as well as a happening of fun. The happening included inflatable devices, climbing walls, tug of war, ropes bridges, bungee harnesses, juggling classes, plate spinning- something for everyone. An Ethiopian cultural corner was set up to bring the beauty of Ethiopian culture to all.
