A Meaningful Contribution from Korea

August 26, 2008 / 25 Av 5768

The “Malchi Zedek” church in South Korea, which represents the local Christian community, made a decision to contribute to Jewish aliyah to Israel.  The church leaders approached the Jewish Agency’s Global Center requesting that the parishioners be allowed to contribute to bolster aliyah activity. Ayala Mei-Dan of the Department of Resource Development and Community Relations was entrusted with handling this matter, and this morning, Tuesday, August 26, 2008, we received notification of the first contribution.
