The novelist, poet, and feminist, author of the controversial (at the time) novel, Fear of Flying (1973), which deals openly with a woman's sexual drives and needs. Other of her novels include Serenissima, Fanny, Any Woman's Blues, The Devil at Large, and Fear of Fifty.
