This TV journalist is famous for her skills in interviewing some of the most important people world leaders. In 1961 she joined NBC's "Today" show, and within three years became its lead female correspondent. Her career included being a co-host on NBC "Today" (1974) , co-anchor of ABC evening news 1976, and of course co-host of "20/20," in 1984. She has won many awards including Emmy and Peabody awards. She has consistently been considered one of Americans most admired people.
