Marvin Hamlisch

    Marvin Hamlisch was born in 1944 in New York City. During his teen years he showed great promise as a classical pianist. He later switched to more popular music producing such hits like music from The Sting , The Way We Were and Chorus Line. Hamlisch holds the position of Principal Pops Conductor with both the Pittsburgh Symphony and Baltimore Symphony Orchestras.
