Essayist Jornalist and Novelist. He won the Pulitzer Prize for his The Armies in the Night which is a personal narrative of the 1967 peace march on the Pentagon, and The Executioners Song in 1977, dealing with the execution of murderer Gary Gilmore. Other of his works include The Naked and the Dead, Deer Park, and An American Dream. His real fame lies in his books which deal with ideas and events such as Miami, Of a fire on the Moon and the Siege of Chicago, Marilyn: A Biography, and of course the above mentioned prize winners.
