Benjamin Cardozo 1870-1938

    Supreme Court Judge (NYC USA). Cardozo belong to an old Sephardic family and served as Justice of the New York Supreme Court for many years. Tough a liberal by nature he was appointed to the Supreme court by conservative Herbert Hoover in 1932. The Cardozo College of Law of Yeshiva University was named after him.
