Cyrus Adler (1863-1940)

    Cyrus Adler

    Cyrus Adler (USA) was an American rabbi, scholar, and educator. Adler succeeded Solomon Schechter as president of the Jewish Theological Seminary and later became president of Dropsie College in Philadelphia. He was one of the founders of the American Jewish Historical Society, the United Synagogue of America, and the American Jewish Committee.
