The Conclusion Ceremony Of The Hanukkah Outdoor Training Session

2,500 Aharai (army preparation program) participants from all over Israel was held last Thursday next to Ben-Gurion grave in the Negev.

The conclusion ceremony of the Hanukkah outdoor training session of 2,500 Aharai (army preparation program) participants from all over Israel was held last Thursday next to Ben-Gurion grave in the Negev.

It was the largest Aharai training session ever!

22 participants came from Kfar-Saba, including youngsters of Ethiopian descent, including one whose police file was closed with the help of the Aharai instructors, and is now preparing for military service later this year.

Amotz Dgani, responsible for Aharai in the steering committee, greeted the children on behalf of the Columbus and the Kfar-Saba communities. He spoke to them about the symbolism of staying in the desert in Hanukkah and the significance of the number 8 in Judaism.

The Partnership sent doughnuts to our group.
