kibbutz Mish'ol, members of the Education Movement of Hamahanot-Haolim, see it as their mission to renew Israel as an egalitarian, Zionist and Democratic society.
Over the last ten years they have established several kibbutzim whose members are primarily involved in education, in Migdal Haemek and Nazareth Illit, in Naaran in the Jordan Valley, and in the Shaviv neighborhood in Herzliya (close to Tel Aviv), with the purpose of creating true partnerships with local communities.
They operate many educational programs in their local communities and around the country. These programs reach thousands of children, youth and young adults, and are operated through Tikkun NGO - A Center for Gathering, Education and Social Change. The programs are created and operated in full cooperation with local municipalities, schools and educational authorities to contribute to participants' social, emotional and academic needs.
The kibbutzim are cooperatives both socially and financially. The community's major focus is on the empowerment of children and youth-at-risk, the development of social leadership in youth and young adults, and the renewal of a Jewish pluralist culture.
Who are we looking for?
We are searching for people with a youth movement background who are looking to become part of an urban kibbutz of young activists involved in educational projects to bring about long-term social change.
Ideal members have leadership skills, teaching experience, an ability to work well with others and to be a part of a team.
