One of the sessions at the recent P2K Global conference, that took place in May 2007 in Newark, focused on Preparation and Follow Up for P2K Missions. The session was led by two of our most experienced P2K directors who joined us at the conference sharing their expertise, knowledge and experience with us.

Levana Caro, P2K Director of Sovev Kinneret/Milwaukee/St. Paul/Tulsa and Nesher/Broward County partnerships spoke with the group about the process by which missions participants are recruited, chosen and trained to be delegates on a P2K mission in Israel. Aviv Klein, the P2K Director of Bet Shemesh/Yehuda Plains/Washington/South Africa and Modi’in Rochester partnerships ,  shared some concrete ideas and suggestions on issues/concepts and ways in which P2K partnered communities can begin to think about preparing their mission participants to visit Israel and their P2K region.

Both presentations were ideas in which we can begin to develop a relationship with each other, coordinate expectations, and understand our commonalities and differences as we begin to strengthen our connection to each other even before we meet face to face.
