Kiryat Yearim has a new anthem called “The Spirit of Switzerland.

”Written by the village’s musical director Lesha Son and sung by the residential school’s song and dance troupe Tzeirei Yearim (The Young People of Yearim), the title of the song pays tribute to the decades of support that the village has enjoyed from the Swiss Friends of Kiryat Yearim.

Tzeirei Yearim is comprised of ten students (one girl and nine boys) whose repertoire includes Israeli classics and contemporary songs in a range of style.

The troupe recently performed at Jerusalem Convention Center for the barmitzvah party of the Ministry of Education’s Rural Education Department.
